Eating Disorders

Helping people struggling with eating disorders break free from negative thoughts about food and their bodies, rebuild confidence, and find peace—so they can live life on their own terms, not ruled by fear or guilt

What is an
Eating Disorder?

An eating disorder is a serious mental health condition that involves an unhealthy relationship with food, body image, and eating behaviours.

Conditions such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder can profoundly impact both physical and emotional well-being. These disorders often stem from deep emotional distress, trauma, anxiety, or societal pressures and are not simply about food or weight.

Eating disorders can lead to harmful behaviours, such as food restriction, bingeing or purging, and result in long-term physical and mental health complications. Early intervention and a tailored treatment approach are essential to prevent lasting harm.

Our
Approach

I offer trauma-informed therapy for individuals struggling with eating disorders, focusing on building a healthier relationship with food, body, and self. My approach is person-centred, recognising that each individual’s journey is unique. I provide a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore the emotional and psychological factors influencing their eating behaviours, including past trauma, anxiety, and low self-esteem.

My therapeutic approach is holistic and flexible, integrating various modalities based on the needs of each client. This allows me to support you through every aspect of recovery, addressing both the emotional and psychological elements of eating disorders, as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure you receive comprehensive care.

We work together to create a supportive environment where you can progress at your own pace, whether that involves reducing food-related anxiety, building confidence, or addressing deeper emotional issues. I am committed to walking with you on your recovery journey, ensuring that it is personalised, compassionate, and centred on your well-being.
